Vishal Veeru Devgan, born Vishal Veeru Devgan, is a well-known Indian film star, filmmaker, and film producer working primarily in Hindi cinema. Widely recognized as a prominent actors, he has featured in over 100 films and earned numerous honors, including four National Film Awards and 4 Filmfare Awards. In 2016, he was honored with the Padma Shri, India's prestigious civilian honor. Devgn stepped into Bollywood with the romantic-action film *Phool Aur Kaante* (1991), a commercial success that made him an overnight star. He subsequently acted in hit action movies such as *Jigar* (1992), *Suhaag* (1994), *Vijaypath* (1994), and romantic hits like *Ishq* (1997) and *Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam* (1999). His highly praised performance in *Zakhm* (1998) won him a National Film Award for Best Actor. Throughout the 2000s, Devgn offered highly appreciated performances in films like *Company* (2002), *The Legend of Bhagat Singh* (2002), and *Omkara* (2006). His role as Bhagat Singh won him his second National Film Award for Best Actor. In the 2010s, he returned with big commercial hits such as *Singham* (2011) and *Golmaal Again* (2017).
